Telephony Applications use voice modems or VOIP servers to capture information entered through a telephone.
Examples include an application that requires the person calling in to enter a specific security code to gain entrance. Gated communities often use a similar application that prompts the caller to leave messages for gatehouse attendents that are played back when a visitor arrives to visit the resident.
Another application is to use telephone to enter order information or for entering time in and time out for time and attendance.
